About Brodie!

For those of you who don't know Brodie, he's a puggle - a pug/beagle mix and he's about 3 1/2 years old. When I first got him back in January 2005, he only weighed about 8 lbs.

Most puggles, from what I've read, only grow to about 15-20 lbs but I knew with his big ears and big paws that he'd surpass that. Well, it didn't take him long to grow into a 37 lb dog!

He's a goofy little thing and makes Eric and I laugh nearly everyday with his crazy antics!

Lately we've been taking him to the Bark Park here on post to run around and play with other neighborhood dogs. He really loves to run out there because the little yard at our house isn't big enough to get any exercise.

Anyways, I don't want to just ramble on about Brodie forever... He'll be coming with us in July when we go to Indiana to visit family, so maybe some of you will get to meet him then! ;)

How to leave comments

I know that not everyone is incredibly tech-savvy, but really you don't have to be if you want to interact on this site.

If you want to leave a comment after an entry, you can click on the link that says "(#) comments" at the bottom of the entry. It will take you to a new page where you can type your comment in the text box. Once you're done with that, click in the circle next to "Name/URL" so that you can type your name so we know who the comment is from. When you're all done, click on "Publish Your Comment" and that's it. You've left your mark on our page!

If there's anything else that you need help with, please feel free to email me at Enjoy your day!

Oh, and just because I think he's adorable, here's a picture of our dog - Brodie - and his favorite toy.

Welcome to our blog!

It's difficult for Eric and I to have our families so far away from us, missing out on our lives, so maybe this little blog-thing here will help to bring everyone together and keep them involved on what is happening.

As I'm sure everyone knows by now, we are expecting a new arrival to our family in December! Also, Eric will be deploying to Iraq again in October. I would like to use this blog as a way to share news and pictures about both of those events (as well as other things that come up).

Especially after the baby is here, I will be incredibly busy and this seems like it will be the simplest method available to keep in touch with everyone. Until then, there won't be much to tell but I'll try to post some updates as I can. Our lives out here in North Carolina aren't the most exciting, but I'll do my best to keep everyone up-to-date! ;)
